Steven Spielberg reencontra os ETs
Assisti Disclosure Day em um cinema de Goiânia, onde estava a trabalho. O filme dura duas horas e meia, e na última cena a platéia soltou um "aaaaaahhhh", querendo mais. Impressionante o domínio que Steven Spielberg continua tendo da linguagem de um filme de ação. Ele ainda "completa" uma cena (a do trem) que ficou limitada em seu primeiro longa , Encurralado ("Duel"), de 1971.
Disclosure Day ainda provoca uma reflexão sobre algumas da mais profundas questões da existência humana. Não espere um roteiro perfeito, mas David Koep conseguiu escrever uma história que envolve questões muito profundas com um suspense que dura do início ao fim. O tema dos extraterrestres é tratado aqui com profundo respeito e dignidade. Como Spielberg já tinha conseguido, especialmente em Contatos Imediatos de Terceiro Grau ("Close Encounters of the Third Kind"), de 1977.
O Oeste Cultura desta semana é especialmente dedicado à carreira de Steven Spielberg. O programa é apresentado por Lucas Nascimento e por mim e ainda contou com a participação especial do professor Adriano Barbutto. Não tivemos entrevistas nem dicas: foi Spielberg do começo ao fim. E o Lucas como sempre usou de recursos mínimos para fazer mais uma criativa vinheta temática:
Steven Spielberg reunites with the aliens
I watched Disclosure Day in a movie theater in Goiânia, Brazil, where I was working. The film lasts two and a half hours, and in the last scene the audience let out an "aaaaaahhhh," wanting more. It's impressive how much Steven Spielberg continues to master the language of an action film. He even "completes" a scene that was limited in his first feature film, Duel, from 1971.
Disclosure Day also provokes reflection on some of the deepest questions of human existence. Don't expect a perfect script, but David Koep managed to write a story that involves very profound issues with suspense that lasts from beginning to end. The theme of extraterrestrials is treated here with profound respect and dignity, as Spielberg had already achieved, especially in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977).
This week's Oeste Cultura show is especially dedicated to the career of Steven Spielberg. The program is presented by Lucas Nascimento and myself, and also featured a special appearance by Professor Adriano Barbutto. There were no interviews or tips: it was Spielberg from beginning to end.
